Q: How long is the access for?
A: The account is good for a one year period from 1 June - 31 May
Q: Can I purchase access for less than 1 year?
A: No. Access is for the one year period from 1 June 07 - 1 June 08. Purchasing access after the start of the 1 year period may result in a prorated charge for the remainder of the year.
Q: Can the account last more then 1 year?
A: Yes. If you renew your account with SPCI.
Q: Are the online courses OEMS approved?
A: Yes. The courses are approved by OEMS. The approval numbers are the 6 digit number you'll see at the end of the course title.
Q: How is the credit submitted to OEMS?
A: Reports are run on a quarterly basis and submitted to OEMS.
Q: What courses are offered online?
A: Over 100 courses are available ranging from kinematics of trauma to blood borne pathogens.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of online credits I can receive?
A: No. There is no limit for the number of credits you can receive through online con-ed
Q: Are these credits good for the National Registry as well as Massachusetts?
A: Yes. These credits count for both National Registry and Massachusetts.
Q: How many classes are available online?
A: There are over 100 classes available. See the course list for more details.
Q: Its close to the end of the year and I don't see my online courses listed on the OEMS website, what do I do?
A: The OEMS website says that the listing provided doesn't reflect the current status, and provides you with an email (recert@dph.state.ma.us) to contact regarding getting an official report. If you are concerned, you should be sure to print out all of your certificates that don't appear on the OEMS website, and attach them to a completed discrepancy report, then send this to OEMS. Thsi will ensure that your credits are applied.
